When writing your resume format and in choosing your template, do not make it so stylish and extravagant. Choose readable fonts, and do not make the size too big or too small so the hiring school can read it easily and properly. Also include line spacings because too tight resumes can be difficult to read and can earn you a turn-off from the hirers. Design it in a simple yet understandable way. 

  • Write your contact details.

Of course, writing your personal information is a must. As your header, state your contact number, your full name, your home address, and your email address, and you can also include your personal links. The reason for this is your recruiters can easily contact you and can notify you immediately about your acceptance for the job.

  • State your work experience.

For the applicants who primarily chose the chronological or combination format, then write your work experiences. Do not write it in a dull manner, but make it detailed– including the period of your previous careers, the time you spent working– so the hirers can judge that you can be beneficial for the school, thus, there is a big chance that they will accept you. Make sure not to fabricate work experiences- avoid false admiration from the hirers. Be real with your experiences and also do not write it in a boasting manner. Be real, and be humble. If you are still an inexperienced applicant, you can just state your training years or your experiences being a sub-teacher. 

  • Present your accomplishments and educational background.

Having achievements in your career is a turn-on for hirers because they can see that you really are capable, therefore, chances are higher for you to be accepted. State your certifications, your credentials, or the titles you earned. It is also crucial to state your educational degree because it is general and usual to always look for an applicant’s educational background because they do not accept applicants who haven’t accomplished schooling.

  • Write down your skills and talents.

One of the most important is to state your skills and talents. There are certain skills that hirers particularly look for in an applicant. Make sure that the skills you possess are in line with the teaching career. Such as leadership skills, knowledge, patience, creativity, and adaptability. You also have to present yourself as a role model for the students, for teachers are the second parents of a child. Include your strengths and your capabilities that will spark the hirers to accept you, because being a skillful worker will guarantee your success.
